A Purse for a Big Girl

Taylor loves her purse - she fished it out of my closet and I think
it is now officially hers. She puts it on her shoulder and walks
around with her hand on her head to keep it from sliding off. This
is her new camera pose - head cocked to one side and squinty eyed smile.

Pictures from Lake Charles

We went to visit some good friends while we were in Lake Charles for Thanksgiving - here are a few pictures from our morning with Emily & Jenna. (These are of Taylor & Emily)

Lots of Hair

We're getting lots of compliments on our hair lately! It has been growing so fast (like the rest of her) and people keep telling us how pretty it is! One person told us today that "people pay a lot of money to get color like that!" While we don't get her hair highlighted, we do think she's got some gorgeous locks. Not only is it getting longer, it is becoming a bit unruly! She loves to rub her head on the back of the car seat - so whenever we get out of the car she's got a massive poof ball in back.

We're looking forward to a few upcoming events - a play date on Friday with a new friend, Kailey and a birthday party on Saturday for our good friends Adam & Andrew. I'll post pictures soon!

Happy Belated Birthday!

Here are pictures from Pop Pop's Birthday (almost a month ago). Better late than never because we had a great time!

Taylor doing what she does best - loves to talk on the phone!

This is the hat Eric made for his dad as part of his birthday present!

Pay Backs!!

She came up to me with two diapers in hand, stuck them to the side of her head and said "hat"... so that's what I did - put them on her like she asked! She pranced around with this beautiful look for a bit before tiring of the fashion statement!

Vintage Clothing

Taylor has on one of my outfits from when I was her age - thought you'd enjoy seeing her in some vintage clothes! She loves to read to herself... here she's reading the nursery rhyme book that Uncle Clarence and Aunt Jan got her for her birthday!

What Under Ware?

Yes... those are what they look like! While this is a bit of a personal post for me, Taylor had no problem showing off my personal items - in fact, they make great hats & necklaces! I was cleaning the bathroom and was letting her dump my socks and... ahem, under ware on the floor to keep her busy. This is how I found her and I had to stop and capture the moment. I had a hard time holding the camera still because I was laughing so hard. Too bad we were home alone - I think daddy would have gotten a big kick out of this! I'm thinking these will come back to haunt her...

GO TOPS!

More pictures of this weekend (we'll have one more installment!) We went to WKU's homecoming game on Saturday with Beth and John. What a great time! It was so neat to see how much the campus has changed and reminisce with Beth on our college days! Here is a picture of Taylor on a homecoming float - with Big Red! Western lost - but we still had a blast.

Visiting With Some Good Friends!

We had a blast catching up with my college roomate and good friend Beth at Western's homecoming! I can't believe it has been since our wedding that we last saw her - we talked (and talked) as if we hadn't been apart! (I'm sure our husbands can attest to the cackling that went on!) I know it won't be 5 more years... we will definitely see them again soon! Thanks Beth & John for a wonderful weekend!

Sunday Best

Just a couple pictures from Sunday - she looked so cute in her little
dress! When I went to pick her up from the nursery, all the kids
were crying except for her and she was staring at everyone with this
look on her face like, "what's wrong with you people - someone come
play with me!"

Halloween!

I finally took the pictures off my camera from Halloween. We dressed
up as a Purdue cheerleader and got out last year's crawfish costume
to take more pictures in. Charles & Joyce picked up a pumpkin and I
thought Taylor would enjoy getting messy with it - but she didn't
much care about it! I carved it all by myself while she ran around
the back yard! Taylor did enjoy passing out candy to the trick-or-
treaters and tried to take off with a few of them! These also mark
her first official "pig-tails". They didn't last very long!! :-)

A Volleyball Career in the Making

We had a blast this weekend at the UT vs. Florida A&M volleyball game. The longhorns are ranked #3 in the country so it was a great team to watch. Taylor had a wonderful time - dancing, cheering and being completely engrossed in the game from start to finish! She is in training to become an elite volleyball player! (ha!) We'll have to take her to more games. See the pictures below and check out this link to the video page of our website - you can see, among others, the video of her we took at the game - so precious!

Jim, Taylor & Eric - watching the action!
