Colorado!

We made it to Colorado on Saturday and have been enjoying the beautiful weather and awesome skiing!  Mimi & Pop Pop have been having a blast with Taylor while the adults take time out to ski and re-connect!  Here are a couple pictures from our day of sledding.  What Fun!

Pictures Worth a Thousand Words

Yesterday was a rainy day here in STL so we went to the carousel at the park to try to have some fun and get a few good shots.  For every THOUSAND pictures I snap, I'm lucky to get one good one!  These are a few of the "good" ones!

"OK, mom... You've taken enough pictures"

The Look

"I'm tired of posing, I want to ride the horses!"

I asked her to open her eyes wide (she always squints when I ask her to smile).  This is what I get!

Peek-a-Boo!

We were the only ones there most of the afternoon - so we got lots of riding in!  What fun!

Just a Little Update

Well... We made it home from MI this past weekend.  We had a great time visiting Grammy and Gramps but I think 5 weeks away from hubby/daddy is a bit much!  (Daddy was so great to let us stay that long - we sure did miss him!)

Yesterday we took a visit to Taylor's new school, come this fall.  I can't believe that she's old enough to go to preschool!  (in fact, in just two short years, she'll be in Kindergarden!!)  Yikes... that makes me feel old!  :-)  She loved it and is so excited to go.  I informed her that at school, she'll have to wear big girl undies and use the potty - that got her excited to potty train and she actually used the big girl potty all morning (until the novelty wore off and we reverted back to our old ways).  This did encourage me that its just a matter of her will to go and that she does understand the concept... now if I could only convince her to make it a full-time habit.  (That seems to be the hard part!)

This morning we had a good laugh!  I had fixed Taylor some oatmeal for breakfast and we were standing in the kitchen when she comes in and asks, very seriously, for a "maxi-pad" to hold her oatmeal with... because it was hot.  After a moment of confusion, I figured out she was asking for a hot pad holder... I gave her one and she happily trotted off to eat her breakfast - Eric and I had quite a laugh!

Please Pray

Please take a moment to pray for our family friends, Sue & Marty.  My mom has been friends with Sue since childhood and our families have grown up together!

They were on their way home Sunday from staying with friends after the ice storm that hit the midwest (they had lost power and water) and were hit head-on by another vehicle that crossed the center line.  Marty has minor physical injuries and has been released from the hospital but Sue has a fractured pelvis (in several places), broken ribs and is in a lot of pain.  It is by God's hand that they're still here (if you were to see the car, they say you wouldn't believe it!)  Would you please lift up Sue, Marty and their family to the Lord?

Thank You

Mom & Suzie from our visit to the City Museum over my birthday weekend.
