Children's Museum

Today we spent the morning at the GR Children's Museum with Gramps - its located downtown (which is an adventure in itself) so we experienced paying to park and a lovely local lunch afterward! Here are a few pictures of the morning:

Michigan Trip

We're wrapping up another visit with Grammy & Gramps - it has been a fun (and busy) trip. (That's my excuse for not posting pictures... sorry!) We've seen several good friends and "run into" several others! Here are some pictures from the trip (when I've remembered the camera!)

Two of our favorite things to do at the house - swing and "help" with the dishes!

We also got to go see the butterflies again at Meijer Gardens - I broke down and got a season pass and we've been three times this week!

Another fun thing to do at the gardens is run up the big hill behind the giant horse statue and then run/roll down!

And finally... more dish washing! (we go through a lot of dishes around here!)

Fun With Gramps

I had a Dr. Apt this morning so, since Grammy is working and no longer a full-time, on-call babysitter, Gramps filled in and offered to watch Taylor. He met us at the appointment and took Taylor out for a morning of fun. These are the pictures from his phone to capture the event:

First they went to the mall to play on the "big food!"

Then Gramps took her to his office - something fun that I have fond memories of when I was little. She especially enjoyed the "library"... a collection of important architectural documents she decided to "check out!"

Time to Vent

While all the other mothers of almost three year olds prepare their little ones for the upcoming year of preschool and are concerned with such things - I find myself wondering if the preschool we put a non-refundable deposit down on will even TAKE Taylor in the fall - potty training is a war!

Just now, Taylor goes into the bathroom, shuts the door... (I'm thinking - yay! Progress!!) ...and comes out a minute later saying "I pooped!"... but not in the potty - in her pants! WHY does she put forth the effort to go to the bathroom but not go in the potty?

I'm at a complete loss!

Trip to the Zoo

Today was a gorgeous day, perfect for being outside, so we met some friends at the zoo for a day of animal fun! We packed a sack lunch and had a mid-day picnic... then continued the fun! I was sure that after such an exhausting morning of activity, Taylor would take a long nap (so mommy could nap too!) but of course I was wrong!
