Happy Birthday Taylor!

Today Taylor had her first "official" dental check-up and cleaning! We went to the dentist last year but they just checked to make sure everything was in order and let her sit in the chair for a bit - no cleaning or tools involved. This year, we got to sit in the chair, polish and brush our teeth and then the dentist came in to "count" our teeth. The report was good - probably going to need braces down the line (how can they tell that at 3??!!) and other than that, she is looking good! (thanks, mommy, for all that good brushing!) :-) Here are a couple pictures. No "action" shots because my hand was busy comforting during that part!
Looking over all the tools with the hygienist and Daisy Duck (we brought moral support)
All done and all smiles - we used our new toothbrush and toothpaste before bed! A big hit!!
This is a random shot from last night - she twirled her hair and got her finger stuck. She finally got it out but I didn't notice until I uploaded the pictures that her finger was looking kinda purple! Whoops!!
Today we enjoyed a favorite place with Daddy for the first time. We introduced him to the MBG! This time, the water was flowing in the Children's Garden which made for a splashin' wet time! Mommy was thinking ahead and packed a towel and extra pair of clothes so we could go out for a late lunch afterward - pizza and a stroll down the road to the farmers' market! (a different one than we went to yesterday). We had a great day - topped off by ice cream and then a big nap! Here are a few pictures Daddy snapped with his phone - thank goodness for technology!!
Hands-on in the fountains!
Strolling through the Children's Garden.
Posing by the Koi Pond!
Queen for the day in the Oriental Gardens!
I went to the dermatologist today for an appointment to have some suspicious spots removed (this is an annual occurrence for me!) While I was gone, Taylor had a great time with Mimi & Pop Pop at the park - chasing the peacocks and entertaining the crowd with her song and dance routine! After the workout, they went to put back some lost calories at the cookie lounge - a pretty awesome find where you pick the dough and fillings and they bake a one-of-a-kind cookie just for you (complete with milk and flavorings of your choice). I'd say it was a great day! (for all except me... I always forget how much it hurts when they numb you up before they cut away!)
pausing for a drink
singing loud!
more song and dance!!
