Taylor's 3yr Pictures...

Taylor had her 3yr pictures taken this past weekend - we had a blast getting them done and Cindi was kind enough to post some teasers on her blog for us.  Please click below to check them out!

Dressing Up

Years ago (we won't get into how many) when I was just about Taylor's age, I started taking ballet and tap lessons and did so for 5 years.  Mom saved all my costumes hoping that I'd someday have a little girl who would love to play dress-up in mommy's old "princess" outfits.  The other night we un-earthed them from the basement and Taylor tore through them like presents on Christmas morning!  We had so much fun reminiscing about each outfit and watching Taylor have such a great time try them all on...  Here are my favorites!  Thanks mom for saving them!

the FRUIT of our labor!

We spent all afternoon picking, washing and drying 25 pounds of blueberries!  Mom said last year she froze twice that much so I guess we're going to have to venture out again!  We had fun and Taylor was quite the "blueberry explorer" as she called herself.  (too much Dora, I think!)

Daddy's Turn

Well, as promised, here are the pictures from Eric's on-camera debut!  We tagged along to watch the fun (Taylor loves these things) and had a great time.  The shoot was in a loft building downtown which was gorgeous and lots of fun to hang out in and explore!

Getting Ready!

Taylor got to get in on the action from the director's point of view - thanks Heather!

We're Still Alive!

Although I've been neglecting the blog for the past week and a half, I've not given it up!  We've been on vacation for the past week and have been extremely busy over the last couple weeks.  You are now going to be bombarded with pictures that I've been saving up to post - so make sure to check back often and also don't forget to scroll down a few posts to catch up!

Look for us on TV!

We were going to go straight to Michigan from our visit to Minnesota but we got asked to do another commercial for daddy's work.  This one involved a speaking part and so we've been practicing our line for a few weeks in preparation.  Tuesday was the big day - bright and early we headed down to the location to film.  Taylor did her parts beautifully - with a little bribery and a few breaks for snacks!  We had a lot of fun doing it and I'm sure we'll be doing it again one of these days.  Look for us nationally - advertising the "Love Revolution!"

Daddy will be in the spot as well - he shot his part today (which we went along to document).  We'll post those pictures tomorrow!

Our friend, "Mr. Caleb" was a homeless man - Taylor and I were to walk down the street, past the homeless man when Taylor notices him, stops me and turns to give him her blankie so he can keep warm (even though it was 80º... the commercial will air this fall!)

Miss Mindy... getting Taylor in place to say her line

Practicing our line helped us say it perfectly... we should have practiced standing still!  (We didn't do so well with that!)

Visit to Lake Miltona

This past week we got the chance to visit some good family friends in Minnesota and stay with Grandma & Pa Follick on lake Miltona!  We had an awesome time visiting with everyone and spending lots of time fishing and hanging out at the lake.  These are just a few of the pictures I took - the rest are on my parents' camera - you'll get to see those later!

Taylor got to fish for the very first time!  She had a great time and I think her favorite part was leaning over the bucket of fish to tell them "I'm gonna eat you!"  (Yikes!)

We also got to meet some of our friends for the first time - by the end of the trip, Taylor was referring to them as "our family."  It was a wonderful trip!

Ready to fish!

I'll post the rest of the trip when I get to Michigan!

Birthday

We celebrated Taylor's birthday (June 30) with a trip to the Children's Museum... called "The Magic House".  If you've ever been there, you know it was a hit!  We had a great time exploring some of the fun things to do there.  Daddy even got to go with us!

Water play... what fun!

We had a hair-raising good time!  (sorry...)
