Magic House

Today was a fun-filled day at the Magic House! We spent several hours exploring the museum with Mimi & PopPop, Mommy & Daddy! Our favorite thing was probably the psychedelic wall projector that we danced in front of for quite a while! Tomorrow we're planning to go to Soulard Farmer's Market for some good eats and then... a little Trick or Treating!

Boo at the Zoo and Farmer's Market!

Mimi & PopPop came for a two week visit to STL from Austin! We're so excited to have them here and are coming up with lots of fun, fall activities to keep them occupied! Friday night we went to "Trunk or Treat" at Taylor's school and Saturday morning, made it up to Forrest Park for the "Boo at the Zoo!" This afternoon, while Daddy & PopPop were at the Ram's/Colt's game, enjoying their 3rd row/45yrd line seats, Mimi, Taylor & I went to the farmer's market in Kirkwood to pick out a couple pumpkins to paint, sample some awesome kettle corn and play on the playground! A fun time was had by all!

Enjoying the view before we head over to the zoo... a little Marilyn Monroe-esk picture!

Walking the trail!

Posing for the camera!

This was my dance costume from years ago - thanks, Grammy, for saving it for us!!

This is our "pirate" face!

I just love all this fall color!!!

Klackle Orchard Fun!

We had a blast this weekend visiting Grammy and Gramps for some Fall Fun!!! We also got our family pictures taken which I will post soon! These are some pictures from our day at Kalckle Orchard - we had so much fun and still didn't get to do everything there! For all you MI people - its worth the trip out there on the weekend. (and it wasn't too crowded, either!)

We began with some face painting - supervised by Grammy!

Then we sat on the donkey for a cowgirl picture!

We tested out the farm equipment!

Then we raced pedal carts - YES, I WON!!!

Taylor needed a bit of help from Gramps to finish strong!

Riding the barrels

... and the Magic pumpkin out to the pumpkin patch!

Pausing to pose with our pumpkin finds!

Picking apples with Daddy & Mommy!

This is a video from the Pumpkin Patch/Apple Orchard we went to yesterday with Grammy & Gramps. Boy, did we have a blast! We were there for at least 6 hours and still didn't get to do all the fun things they had available! We did pick some good apples and got some great pumpkins to paint tomorrow... we'll post some pictures
but let this video tide you over - its hilarious!

She took over the stage and danced her heart out!

Monkeying Around

This past weekend, Nicole and Lisa (Eric's cousin & friend) came to visit from Lake Charles! We had a non-stop event filled weekend. I've got these posts in the wrong order (chronologically) but you get the gist of what we did. This was Nicole's first trip to the zoo - she picked a pretty good one to check out! (I think her favorite part was chasing the peacock!)

Up close and personal with the birds

Nicole chasing the peacock and Lisa chasing Nicole to get it on film

Keeping a safe distance from the sea lions (Taylor doesn't like the bark!)

Snack time with Daddy (and a little time for goofing around)

Our favorite part: Petting the stingrays for the last time this season. (They're moving to Phoenix for the winter).

A Great Weekend

Saturday night we went to the City Museum downtown. It was the highlight of my weekend - we had an awesome time climbing all over everything!

We went last year with Grammy & Gramps and ended up falling and getting hurt (we still talk about "that museum where Gramps let me fall") :-) This year we did much better!

Sliding down the slide with Nicole

Posing for a picture in the balls - and check out the picture below! I caught her in mid jump!

Climbing with Daddy

The roof of this 11 story building has a huge fountain, slides, catwalks and a ferris wheel... all to be explored! That was my favorite part!

View from outside. If you ever get the chance, make the City Museum a stop on your trip to STL!

We're Alive!!

So... we moved back at the beginning of September to a new house (I know... we move a LOT).  Anyway, we moved in and haven't been able to get internet - until now!  Since I"ve been driving to Barnes n' Noble for internet this past month to pay bills and work on my card designs, I haven't had time to update the blog (plus, we've become super busy since school started).

Just wanted to let you fellow blog followers know I DO care about you and will be more diligent to post stuff now that we have the online capabilities from home!

Here are a few pictures from Taylor's first day of preschool.  (FYI... for those of you who follow facebook - our school behavior has gotten much better!  I figured out that she's got a little boyfriend - "Will" and with a little bribery we're able to control our behavior at school!)  Ice Cream works wonders for behavioral problems in this house!!!  ;-)

Excited to go meet our new classmates!

Going to say "good morning" to our teacher, Ms. Peregoy!
